Donating Trees for a Good Cause

What better way to celebrate spring this year! As many may or may not know, September 1-7 is known and celebrated in South Africa as Arbour Week. We take some time to focus on the importance of trees for environmental sustainability and community well-being. During this week, people are encouraged to plant indigenous trees, care for vegetation, and participate in community "greening" initiatives to create a healthier environment.

The team at The Cradle of Hope was more than happy to assist us in this initiative. We donated a variety of trees to them to plant across their facilities. This initiative, driven by our very own Laura-Lee Rijsmus (Accounts and Marketing Director), is very close to her heart. It was a legacy left to us by the late Dave Rossiter (CEO and founder of GeoGroup) to take care of our environment, offset our carbon footprint by rehabilitating sites we work on, and planting trees. This raises awareness in our communities and we get to give back to nature.

You don't have to wait for September months to be Arbour-conscious, make it a fun work or family activity any day. We only have one earth, let's all take care of her together.
